The Bepko Student Advisory Board is a select group of students that have shown an interest in leadership and involvement in the scholarship program. The board meets monthly to discuss details about the student experience, the scholarship program, prospective student engagement, and alumni relations, as well as to assist in event planning. This group includes students from a variety of academic concentrations and cohorts to best represent the interests of the Bepko Scholars and Fellows Program.

Mary Blankman
Year joined: 2025
Mary joined the Bepko Student Advisory Board to help create memorable events for all Bepko Scholars. One of her favorite aspects of the program is connecting with scholars from different cohorts and working together with the board to bring events to life. She especially values the sense of community that develops through these shared experiences.

Keziah Dobbins
Year joined: 2025
Keziah became the current Bepko Program Intern to help strengthen community connections among new and current scholars. Her favorite memory is volunteering at Gleaners Food Bank with the 2025 Bepko Scholars cohort during the annual Bepko Retreat. She is excited to continue supporting the program by organizing volunteer opportunities and activities for all scholars in the year ahead.

Kaylie joined the Bepko Student Advisory Board to become more involved in the Bepko community, plan service events and activities for scholars, and strengthen the program’s impact on campus and in Indianapolis. Her favorite part of the Bepko Program is serving on the board, where everyone works alongside one another and learns together.

Uma joined the Bepko Student Advisory Board to contribute creative ideas for volunteer opportunities and to help build stronger community connections. Her favorite part of the Bepko Program is exchanging ideas for events during board meetings. She enjoys seeing the ideas developed in meetings come to life as events.

Isaac joined the Bepko Student Advisory Board to give back to the Bepko Community and ensure that new Bepko Scholars have access to the same amazing opportunities he did as a freshman. Isaac's favorite memory from the Bepko Program was Fall 2023 Volunteer Day, when he volunteered at Friends of Indianapolis Dogs Outside.

Karlie joined the Bepko Student Advisory Board to give back to future Bepko Scholar cohorts and help plan events and community-building initiatives that foster a sense of acceptance for everyone. Her favorite memory is paddle-boating on the canal during her first-year Bepko Retreat.

Catie Sprunger

Catie joined the Bepko Student Advisory Board to continue increasing the close community within the Bepko Scholars. Her favorite memory is the Bepko Retreat. Meeting scholars on the first day of moving in comforted her during her transition to college, and those scholars are still some of her closest friends.

Emerson joined the Bepko Student Advisory Board to make an impact on volunteerism here at IU Indianapolis and to help incoming Bepko Scholars along the way. Her most memorable experience has been planning and leading the Bepko Retreat. She enjoys introducing new Bepko Scholars to campus.

Bethany joined the Bepko Student Advisory Board to help build a stronger sense of community between Bepko cohorts by working with other scholars to brainstorm new volunteer opportunities and host social events. Bethany's favorite Bepko events have been the tote bag painting and recognizing new scholars at the Bepko Recognition Ceremony.

Lillie joined the Bepko Student Advisory Board to be a bigger part of the Bepko community. She joined because she wanted to help with the behind-the-scenes work, welcome new scholars, and strengthen the Bepko community. Lillie's favorite part of being a Bepko Scholar has been "getting to meet so many amazing people."
